“Torrende a domo”
Soon in the recording studio for the new record by Sara Marini, Torrende a domo (with Paolo Ceccarelli on guitar and Francesco Savoretti on percussion and guests), where Goffredo Degli Esposti will experiment, among the various flutes, also the melodic and harmonic possibilities of the Buttafuoco.
The buttafuoco is one of the main 16th-17th century string instruments typical of the Neapolitan area, which had its historical development in Western Europe, from the Middle Ages to the Baroque. It is still in use in traditional music of a restricted geographical area of the Pyrenees, divided by the border between Spain and France, where it is identifiable, mainly, with the name ditambor de cuerdas / tambourin à cordes
